Weird thing happens when this video is embedded: https://cdn.theguardian.tv/mainwebsite/2017/06/15/grenfellfix_desk.mp4

It auto-embeds correctly but as soon as the post page of the forum is viewed the audio starts playing automatically, even though the video does not.  Pressing play on the video creates dual audio as the video starts with its own audio from the beginning while the auto-playing audio stream continues as well.  There is no way to separate the audio streams because there is no way to stop the auto-playing one, rendering the video unintelligible.

Any ideas?


Edit:  After polling my members this only seems to be a problem in Firefox.  Chrome users are not affected.

Edit 2: My Firefox has just updated itself to v.54.0, which appears to have fixed the problem.  Please disregard and sorry to trouble you.  I shall leave this post here just in case anybody else comes looking.
