My website has been fine all day next thing i know a new user has signed up and everything has gone strangely. Take a look http://www.profifaleagues.net/index.php

YogiBear

Hmm, last time I was in the UK funky meant something good.  ;D

What mods do you have installed?

I take it you mean you've lost your gifs/scripts. Here's a longshot : have you recently moved domain then enabled hotlink protection?

The point is Nick can you be more precise about what is different now from what it was before the member signed up?
SMF v2.1.3  Mods : Snow & Garland v1.4,  PHP  v.7.4.33

I didn't change anything. I wasn't active on the website for a few hours then when i refreshed everything just went odd.

Hmm just been right clicking on your images to find the path.

seems like what is ment to be your logo is no this URL
http://www.profifaleagues.net/%3Ctr%3E%3Ctd%20class=

Also check your web directory to make sure the images still exist in there

http://www.smfnick.smfnew.com/Themes/default/images/sp/collapse.png
For example these above????

The 1st link seems strange unless its something else..

The logo image url is a marquee hence the <td> and then images are still in place. Like i say everything has worked today from the day i created it. Then it just went. Seems to me its only the Simpleportal related items though? Which has also affected the theme

Yeah your right about just the simple portal items being effected.. Do you have a .htaccess file in any of the foldes where the images are for simple portal.
If the images are ther we should beable to see them either on your template or on its own using the browser.
You have checked the "sp" folder dir?

Seems a little strange to me.. Only other thing I can think of its an .htaccess file with a block on the images..

Have you installed any mods just before this happened and not realised?

Hmmm.. I just tried to navigate directly to your image and it has braugh me to this website

http://www.smfnick.smfnew.com/Themes/default/images/sp/collapse.png

Could be a mod_rewarite in apache or your httpd.conf..

Definatly seems like a rewite.. I would check all .htaccess files.. Have you tried to edit any, to change images or something.. Maybe block images being hosted on others website..

smfnick.smfnew is the original site name. I haven't changed anything at all. Not a single thing i have been busy painting my room all day and when i got back and refreshed it all went haywire. No other admins have access I see no.htaccess in the sp folder either. Last mod i added was ENotify on August 20th. Last thing i changed manually was the Username text when people register and that was yesterday and everything worked fine when i did it.

well that not your domain now. So the images shouldn't be looking at that domain.

An easy way to fix this is to export your tables for the portal.

Download Notepad ++ From here
http://www.filehippo.com/download/file/1faf523ef76b674711e819637c0fd96488e8a396bdeeb9d456d338a4115ef0ad/
Install it.

Then edit the .sql file with notpad ++ and do a find a replace so that it replaces the OLD domain name with the domain name you stated in this post.
Then your images will show up as normal then

EG
Find smfnick.smfnew.com
Replace profifaleagues.net

If you do that to the sql files with notepad ++ then import the tables back in.
It will then show you the correct images.

NOTE:
when exporting the file click add drop tables.
Also Make sure you download 2 so you have backups if you mess up.
DO not use the standard notepad.....

Surely thats not the issue though? I havent done anything and i've been with my own domain for like a month.

Maybe the old domain has stopped hosting the files you was using now..

Here look at the difference..
on the forum your images are linked to your DOMAIN NOW... EG
http://www.profifaleagues.net/Themes/Whisper_Gray/images/_silver/off.png

On the protal your images are linked to an OLD domain that is no longer serving them image files
http://www.smfnick.smfnew.com/Themes/default/images/sp/collapse.png

Best way todo this by my knowledge is to go into php my admin
select your smf database on the left pane.
Selete export.
You should have a list of tables you wanna export.
Hold CTRL and you only need to select your tables for the portal.
then click add drop table..
Export the file..
Don't need to zip it or anything.
Open it with notepad ++
And do a simple find and replace as stated above...

This is the only way I can advise you to fix this solution..

Look at it this way...
You can't have them images pointint to that domain forever right?

Will take you what 5 mins..

Let me know how u get on.

o.k why don't you just export the whole databse and try a find and replace.. I just realised it will be small anyway.

It should be in there.

If you like send me the whole database if you can attach it to a post here and I will do it for you.

Thanks, seemed to put everything back into action. Strange that it only stopped working today. Thankyou very much though :).
