Well, the thing is, if you have someone else upload it for you, you won't be able to upload new scripts such as repair_settings.php. Are you at your home and your connection is bad?

Josh, 000webhost is ultimately not going to be a good home for your forum to live, especially a gaming forum.  You'll find they're quite restrictive, as time passes.

However, if you want to install SMF, it can be done a little at a time. First decide if you want it to live in your domain's root or in its own folder.  Then, you want to go into your Cpanel, access phpMyAdmin and create a database.  The next thing is to get an ftp application (such as Filezilla or Fetch, depending on whether you use PC or Mac).  Download the zip of the version of SMF you want to install (not an upgrade zip but a full installation).  Open the zip and also the folder inside.  Move the contents of that folder (all files and directories) over to your forum's destination on your server.  (You can do this a little at a time, if your server keeps timing out.)  When all the files and directories have been moved to your server, you want to point your browser to install.php.  (For example, if your forum's URL is going to be mywebsite.com/forum then point your browser to mywebsite.com/forum/install.php.)  Now.... before you actually point to install.php, first make sure that all your forum's directories and files are writable.  Make the directories 755 and the files 644.  Then access install.php and follow the instructions to complete your installation.  Remove that file from your server when you're done.

:)
My apologies, but I am taking a break from accepting PM requests for support.  If I am not currently assisting you, please do not ask as long as this notice is posted.  Thank you.
