A theme I've been working on for some time.

bloc

Nice ideas..but the use of 3d-boxes and then flat round corners looks a bit odd. :)

Will be interesting to see where it goes though.

bloc

No, "display", where you got the extruded 3d-like posts.

Any suggestions?
Well, the header should maybe be more like those boxes. Go along with that idea and expand upon it, perhaps. Not sure what kind of look/style you are after though.

Akyhne

I guess the problem is I changed my mind halfway, about what the theme should be about lol. the display was actually the first part I made.

I basically got tired of square and rounded corners, and wanted to do something else.

Blue and green colors are not to my liking but that's not to say some might like that combination.

I do not like the green and light blue combination you did in the info box. but it's a nice theme :)

Hi,I like your themes a lot and looking forward for your more themes..I need some help!
I am looking for a theme related to health for my new website..Any source or link?
Or any suggestions which themes suites better from your collection for my new website?

I really like the idea to make something different then straight or rounded edges! I don't like the colour combinations. The green and blue make the forum look cold and it's quite hard on the eyes. Maybe you should look into changing the blue to something else :)

Akyhne

Well, Iceland is a cold place ;)
I need to update those images, as quite a lot has been improved. However, I can't settle for a proper header.

This theme changed a bit. Dropped the "cornered"  corners and went for rounded only.

Also after some discussions in a hidden board, I got some feedback from friends and team members and changed some things. Looks a bit like "Harmonia", but then again Bloc "borrowed" the idea from me ;)

MrGrumpy

The category/boards look much nicer now

Much better indeed! Nice one!

Antechinus

I think the categories totally rock. However, I think the info centre totally doesn't rock. The header doesn't seem to quite fit either IMO.

Message index looks great, but I'm not real keen on the buttons.

Display.template just doesn't work for me.

Akyhne

I don't like everything myself either, but I worked on this theme a long time ago.

So I decided to get it out now and then if it's popular, I'll make a "2.0" that I *do* like ;)

The header was really always the reason this never got finished, by the way. And again, I was stuck and made something simple. At least the gray background follows the #upper_section, so no matter the size of banner, the background will just follow down.

Antechinus

It's defo worth finishing up. :)

You should wrap the info center with the same design you have with the blue on the categories to tie it together, think it would look nicer and possibly redesign of the recent posts like this http://www.petchatforum.net/smf/index.php?theme=5 would fit in well with the design if you use the same gradients from your boards on the recent posts backgrounds.

I don't mind the borrowing lol :) but it might be good to use the same gradient effect(with different hues) overall. Otherwise it can easily look like 2 different themes mashed up. If you need the exact PS styles to work further on it I can attach them here(assuming you use Photoshop CS3 or newer)

Akyhne

I use Corel Draw/Photopaint. And I made it from scratch, so if it doesn't look good, then I failed ;)

I did most of the graphic/css changes within a few hours after the discussions in the "Theme Discussions" (hidden board) a long time ago, and haven't really touched it since then. As I wrote earlier today, I just finished the theme to get it out... have so many unfinished themes hanging around...

bloc

I see. :) I don't use Corel at all, all my editing is in PS.

Akyhne

Yeah, seems to be the standard for web developers. But I believe Corel is used much more in the graphics business.
