Maybe solve problem or do you have better solution?

Why isn't your original backup not a 'perfect' file?

sorry I use incorrect word I should to tell you 'incomplete backups file'.
I don't know what happen while I backup someone tell me 'you are another victim of phpMyAdmin'

Looking

I have not had problems with phpmyadmin in the past and I handled hundreds of databases with sometimes GBs of content. What I have found is servers that have low resources time out and you do not finish processes. I take it you cannot get the original DB?

JimM

Normally if you used phpMyAdmin to export the database, you shouldn't have an issue importing with it unless you run up against the resource constraints that were mentioned by Looking.

You should be able to import the individual tables by breaking up the export file.  Use a text editor like notepad++

I understand my backup file was incomplete because servers that have low resources and time out.

After Server has problem I ask admin for backup file that he should to do but he has not !!!
so I've to find my backup that last file it's incomplete but I think I try to import some table into my new database
such members table because my member not convenient to apply again.

              Would you mind help me?

              Thanks a lot.

You need to get the proper backup file. good hosts usually make auto backups, see if they may have one from some time back.

donnpipop

Of course, now I choose new hosts for my board and hope that is good hosts ^^'

JimM

Is this issue solved or do you still require assistance?  Were you able to recover a complete backup and move to a new host?

How to solve this problem.  :o

Thank you  ;)

JimM

From your question I can only assume that you are taking the portion of your SQL file that pertains to the members table and importing that data.  Is that correct?  You will also need to make sure the auto increment number is set correctly as well.  If you backup included the table structure as well as the data you should be fine with running that portion as a querry to import the data and structure.

Give us a few more details of what you did and how.

Yes I'm taking the portion of your SQL file that pertains to the members table and importing that data.
Can I send sql file to you for check error?

Thank you.

As long as you're poking around in the database, please post back latest entries in your smf_log_errors table and include the message and the file.

What version of SMF are you using now? Is that the same version as the one you took the backup from?

donnpipop

SMF that I'm using is 2.0 RC3
of course it's same version with backup file.

If you are still working with this and want me to take a look at the SQL dump, then email it to me.

Yes, I want you to take a look at my SQL file, just now I attach it to you.

xenovanis

Hey donnipop, don't attach the dump file to your post, but send an email to JimM instead. You'll find his mailaddress in his sig. Your database contains private information on your members, as well as content you'd probably don't want to share.

OK.  Took a look at your SQL file and it is not 2.0RC3.  Instead is is 1.1.x.  The database will need to be upgraded before you can upgrade the forum.  You might be able to import the members table into a test 1.1.12 database and then upgrade it that way.
