Need help please

I have upgraded to 2.0 and I have tried to install mods but I am to much of a noob to figure it out, would any of you be willing to help me with installing some mods and showing me how to change the header logo for free, any help would be great thank you so much

I'll help, Brandon.  Did your upgrade go smoothly?  If so, are you getting a "not writable" error when trying to install mods?

I'm happy to either assist or to try to talk you through it.

this is what I get
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
This was for the ad management mod I downloaded the one for 2.0, now I know that I might have to change code because of the them I have but I have tried that and still wont work.If you could check out my site www.rldcrewforums.com and if you create and account I will give you my im so we can go through this.My name is RLDFATALFLAME on the forums if you want to pm me.

If it doesn't sort it for you, of course, I'm happy to try to help behind the scenes. That would require a URL to your forum, a temporary admin log in and FTP log in details.  (FTP, rather than CPanel would be preferable and your server can provide those log in details, if you don't know them.)  Send that to me in a personal message, don't post any sensitive information here.

EDIT:  Brandon, I've only just now glanced at your URL while waiting for you to get back to me and your forum shows to be 1.1.11, but you said you upgraded to 2.0.  That's why I asked earlier if your upgrade went smoothly.

I thought it did  I used file zilla when it was done I didn't notice a change, but I had alot od different templates and I just figured it changed some of the stuff behind the scenes so I used one of the new themes it gave I did notice that it didnt say 2.0 lol I am a moron please forgive me I am a nooooooob LOL

No, I'll never forgive you, ever.   

Tell you what.... if you do want to upgrade, BACK UP YOUR DATABASE first, complete with structure, tables and data, then get the RC3 LARGE upgrade package from the downloads page.  Unzip it and open the folder inside.  Move all those files over to their proper directories in your forum's folder on your server.  In the zip's folder you will also see upgrade.php and several .sql files.  Upload these to your forum's main (root) folder.  Make your files and directories writable, folders 755 and files 644 and then point your browser to upgrade.php to finish the upgrade.  Remove the upgrade.php file from your server when you're done.

Then we can take a look at mods, etc.  I may fade on you soon; I'm an old man who turns in early with the chickens, but I'll check back to see what your progress is.

If your upgrade is successful but you have issues installing mods in RC3 after that, read that first link I gave you, earlier.

After uploading the upgrade files did you actually run the "upgrade.php" file?

I tried to do it again, but I cant figure it out. How hard would it be to erase everything then just start off with 2.0 rc3 in the first place? But is there a way to keep everyone's accounts?

Was it the full / large or whatever its called upgrade and did you extract it first?

OK lets take baby steps what exactly do I do? from this point

Extract the zip file you downloaded then upload all the files you extracted using filezilla overwriting your original files, then go to:
