Converting to SMF 2.0 RC3

I hope i have added this in the correct tropic - I want to know how I can upgrade from SMF 1.1.11 to SMF 2.0 RC3  - I installed the SMF 2.0 RC3  and tried to add the database - but that didnt work as the headings are different in the database created by SMF 1.1.11 to the database created by SMF 2.0 RC3

Please let me know what I can do to use the same database which I have created by using (SMF 1.1.11)  I have 800+ posts and 300+ member details there

TAKE A FULL BACKUP OF YOUR EXISTING 1.1.11 FORUM FIRST, THEN:

Grab the Large upgrade for 2.0 rc3 from here:
http://download.simplemachines.org/

Unzip the file you get, use an ftp client to upload the files and folders you get after unzipping, overwrite your existing files and folders on the server.

Then go to http://<your forum url>/upgrade.php   follow the onscreen instructions
