Clone forum but using only needed database tables

Hi everyone,

I am using SMF 2.0 RC2 and I would like to upgrade to Beta 4 but I would like to create a brand "new" forum, I mean not upgrading it (I did it in a backup forum and it gave some errors and also I cannot install packages).
I am thinking about upgrading the forum to Beta 4 and later take only the important database tables to avoid errors.
In the database I can see a lot of tables but I do not what to import, I mean, posts, stadistics, private messages, user profiles, calendar, polls, forums, attachments, mark as read, etc...

Your forum sounds like phun.

I'm not certain of this, but I suspect the RC4 might make alterations to the database.

It might not, though.

If it does, you might have problems, doing things the way you're proposing.
