Will you please post any errors you find in the Error Log? Usually tells which files needs edited to fix something.

Please do not solicit support via PM. Here's why!

I had this problem after installing the mod 'clickable banner' on a 1.1.11 but if anyone did click onto the banner (which redirected to main site) they would have this problem when logging out. The solution was to click onto the Home tab before logging out.

It could be a mod is causing this problem.

That is so odd, I was able to logout like that.

Here's the 3 errors I'm getting..

Password incorrect - Sweeper

Thanks. If there is a way to adjust that mod that would be awesome. And also, my registration password is hidden. Like when a user registers they cant see the password there creating.

I'm getting the same error using 2.0 RC3, no mods... by clearing all cookies I have been able to logout, but the issue keeps coming up.  It's repeated on both IE8 (Compatibility View) and Firefox... Any thoughts or advice would sure be appreciated!

this is exactly the same problem a couple of my members are having, clearing the cahe makes it ok for a while then it's back I assumed it was a browser problem

I'm hoping I can check a couple other browsers in the next day or two, but was surprised to see it appear on both Firefox and IE.

the weird thing is I don't see it as an smf problem as it only affects some users,it does the same to them in firefox and ie,there has to be some sort of solution or at least why this happens out there.I thought at first it was just me but it obviously isn't.Anyone who has any ideas please let me/us know it will be very much appreciated

Check your forum URL in the server settings in the admin panel.  If you omitted the www this can cause this issue.  It's by no means the only cause but try that and let us know if it helps.
