Posting "Button-like" image backgrounds not showing

I made a new theme and I copied the images directory and the contained files within it to the new theme's folder.  I then changed the image directory for this new theme and afterward the "buttons-like" images are not showing in Firefox, but strangely they display correctly in IE.  Below is what it looks like in Firefox:



UPDATE: I managed to modify the Post.template.php file for my newer theme.  I edited three areas of code which resolved the problem.
