hey Dev Team.
Here is my way of thanking you for your work. I just renewed my charter membership.
Please do your best to release a final stable version 2 to allow us to upgrade confidently.

I've been checking in almost daily waiting for this to pop up!

Two questions (Not support):

1. Why hasn't this been announced on the front page? Something as important as this should be announced on your front page. ;) (Because many people just watch that part of the site for news. I didn't know this was out until I saw someone talk about it on the support forum. :P)

2. I thought that 1.1.11 was the final update for the 1.x series. :P

I believe the 1.1.12 upgrade just closed a few security holes.

You don't have to, no.

V2 is still a RELEASE CANDIDATE.

v1.1.11 is the latest STABLE version of SMF.

Once v2 goes Final, mods and themes for v1.1.11 will still be here, but not many new ones are likely to be made.

Even then, upgrading to v2 is entirely YOUR choice. :)

and, Sincere, the answer hasn't changed just because of the RC4 release.

The 2.0 Final release will be soon. RC4 is intended to be the final RC, barring any MAJOR issues. We don't think there are any (except for all the glitches with the build process, which we find new ways to screw up each and every release.) which is why RC4 was released now.  So, barring any major issues as RC4 makes its way into public use, 2.0 Final will be released SOONtm

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

korsanTURK, are you still having the problem? if so redownload the large upgrade and rerun it

We're on 1.1.11 and getting the corrupt file error for updating to 1.1.12 via AdminCP.

Any word on a fix, as it's still not working as of 3 Nov 0133 GMT.

Same problem here. I have two forums, both running SMF version 1.1.11.

Yet both give me this error when I try to install the latest update:

An Error Has Occurred!

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

I tried downloading it manually from the site but I keep getting the same error message.
