Hi All,

I have read a couple of hours on this forum how to access our SFTP server with Package Manager.
Also on my part.. nothing worked.
After searching the www for a solution I stumbled upon a FTP-to-SFTP bride solution.
This solution which is called "Tunnelier" from the company "Bitvise" seems to provide a solution for us here.

At this moment I already gained access from my normal webbrowser to the SFTP server.. but I still have some problems setting the proper settings.
It seems that this bridge workes fine.... but when I try to access it outside my local environment.. it does not want to connect.

How it (should) works:

My PC makes SFTP connection to my server. (with Tunnelier)
My router forwards all ftp ports to my local IP within the network. (192.168.1.3)
In package manager I enter my outside IP address and port number. (24.xxx.x.xx)

For some reason I'm not seeing any incoming traffic from my router (192.168.1.1)

I hope that with this bridge.. someone can get it to work.
As I said.. locally it works.. just not from the outside yet.

Does the SMF script accept "<ip>:2200" as a valid entry?
Whenb converting to SFTP.. should I include "/var/www/" before the local path to SMF ?
Thank you in advance for any help.

Greetings,
Floris.

Hi,

Just an extra note:

-From "Tunnelier" to our server using SFTP works OKAY.
-From browser (entering local IP) to Tunnelier works OKAY (I'm seeing incoming data).
-From browser (entering my outside IP) to Tunnelier works OKAY (I'm seeing incoming data).
-From outside my router (with package manager) is does NOT work. (Not seeing incoming data.)

-In my router I used port-forwarding.
-I disabled my firewall.
-I enabled FTP application layer
-I enabled TFTP application layer

I'm getting frustrated,.. because at this moment it's the stupid FTP that does not seem to work.. and the SFTP connection works.

I hope someone can give this a try as well.

Thank you in advance,
Greetz,
Floris.

What exactly are you trying to achieve and why? I don't think I completely understand you here.
