Smileys failed when i upgrade to SMF 1.1.12

Did anyone experience the same problem i had when i upgrade to the patch for SMF 1.1.12 by chance and the smileys failed and download the fix for it i am not sure where i should place this file at

Sorry, I didn't experience it myself. May I ask how the smileys failed and where you found the fix?
