Can't install mods after upgrade from 2.0 rc3 to 2.0 rc4

Upgrade went well with no problems.Everything works except i can't install mods with the package manager.I just get a white screen an that's it.I have tried different mods for the 2.0 rc4 but get the white screen with all.Any idea's?

That sounds like one of the files might have got corrupted when you FTPed them to your site.  You might want to redo that.  Also check that you have a temp file in the /Packages directory that also has the correct permission set.

Any errors in the error log when you try to install a mod?

Thanks Jim,There are no errors in the error log.I looked at the file you mentioned.It is set at 755 which needs to be 777 on this server to make it a read and wright file.I tried to change it but can't.It won't let me.I did ftp the package directory up to the sever again.Still the same results.So will i have the upload all the directory and files from the large upgrade package again?I will assume this is where the problem is.I didn't have to change any permissions the first time i installed smf on the server the first time and everything worked great.

White pages normally don't just happen, do you have access to your servers error logs? It should have a mark of each white page you hit, with possibly something to explain what happened.
