Putting current time on the index page - header or footer.

Greetings,
wanted to ask, is there any good mod, which will add the current time on the index page? I'm running 1.1.11 and this http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=1405 skin. Maybe it's the template fault that there the time was removed, I don't know. What I'm looking for is the following.

In one of the upper corners of the forum index page or any other page is something like: "Hello ssdevious Show unread posts since last visit. Show new replies to your posts. November 17, 2010, 05:48:27 PM" The red part, that's what I'm interested in. It might be pretty well some RC new feature, but if it can be added into 1.1.11 by using some mod, could anybody suggest which one?

hi ssdevious, you need the following code:

and add this to your index.template.php
