Help getting pspell to work on latest version of WampServer

Hello, all.

I have downloaded and installed the most current version of Wamp Server which is running on Windows Server 2003.

I am using SMF 1.1.11 and it was running fine previous on another server. Despite following the instructions I have found on the web with various recommendations, I cannot get pspell to work. If I enable the pspell extension, Apache locks up and the only thing I can do it restart. I have also attempted to install aspell and when doing so, Apache is unresponsive but I am at least able to restart the service after disabling it.

Since PHP for Windows 5.30 didn't include the pspell extensions, I installed 5.2.1.

Please note that I am no expert when it comes to Apache or PHP.

Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.

you would be best asking on a wamp forum or a php forum as smf does not really support the platforms that run smf, just the forum itself.
