Ok I need help.
I recently started up a new forum since my other host lost all my data. Everything was setup by the guy that owned it before so I am basically learning as I go.
I have godaddy as my domain and hosting.
when I setup my godaddy stuff, we set a setting that I cant remember but it was a version of some format I think, that I later found out mysql for SM didnt support.
I want to say it was like a version 5 or something. the onlyway I could get it to load up and finish install was to do sqlite. I am noticing alot of internal server errors. could this be due to the sqlite? I try to install flashchat recetly and got errors pointing to sqlite.
what can I do to remedy this situation? I really want to add a chat program back to my forum.
btw I did SM 2.0rc3

Ok so I remember when godaddy setup my hosting it was mysql5 and php5
now when I did a fresh install of smf 2.0rc3 it got to the point of asking about mysql, it wouldnt take mysql only sqlite.
I am having tons of database errors and am loosing user profile info and such.
how can I fix this?

Sorry it has taken so long for us to respond.

I can't think of any reason that you would be forced to select SQLite over SQL.  Did you create the database before the installation?  2.0 does support SQLite 2.8 so that shouldn't be an issue.

Have you tried the installation again to see if you can duplicate the issue on possibly a test installation?
