Upgrade from 1.1.5 to 1.1.12

Hi All,

We didn't upgrade for ages and so now I have to handle the task of upgrading to the latest SMF that is SMF 1.1.12.  I came aboard on the maintenance team fro our forum only recently.  So I have little experience in these things. 

Now I didn't explore this forum much but explored the upgrade topic in the online manual. 

So what do you guys suggest?  Click the "update your forum" link in the administration center or follow the procedure in the online manual ? I'll make sure to take a back up before I attempt either of them.

Then,
1. Backup.
2. Test your backup so that you are sure that you backup is working just in case (cause some backups fail to work).
3. Use the upgrade button in your admin CP or large upgrade package from SMF. Follow the manual instructions.

remember if you use the large upgrade package it will uninstall all your mods and require you to reinstall them and any changes to the themes that come with smf.
