Forum version: SMF 1.1.11 to 1.1.12 HELP needed (solved)

here is what I get when i try to install with the link in the admin area

My question as well.
I was able to sucessfully do it once,but I may lose it because it was in the simple machines forum and not in
the main forum.I just kept trying and eventualy it worked.
I am a complete newcomer to computers,and dont know if they can shift my smf to the main section,the route
had another site there.
The other was a pbpBB that just did not mach in quality to SMF.
wonder if anyone knows about shifting my smf into the sites main forum?

monkeyofstick please open your own thread, your issue is not related to the op's issue What is repair_settings.php?

thefley, it is somewhat common when you are upgrading smf to have some files listed as outdated like you are seeing, but if the upgrade was applied without errors listed in the package manager you are good to go and nothing to worry about.

When you have that error, normally we would recommend that you download the patch and install it just like a modification.  The patch can be downloaded here.

Ok I found it in a MOD (an emulator)  that would let you emulate a diff ver or SMF to install older mods.   once I thought about it and uninstalled this mod the update worked.
