first, good day to you and if this is in the wrong board please pardon me

well am a novice when it come to web designing and other thing that goes with it but i do know how to follow instruction.
i just created a forum using the default theme 1.1.1.1. My problem is whenever i want to uninstall some of the programs that i in stall using the correct local host and password i always get this
"You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!"

please what am i doing wrong?

add a folder temp to the packages folder.

Also make sure that your Packages folder is chmodded too.

What version did you install?  Are you having issues uninstalling mods or installing mods?  A bit more specific information would help if the above suggestions don't solve your issue.
