Upgrade General Question

I think I am taking the leap from SMF 1.12 to 2.04 tomorrow.  My question is, when I make that change and all the posts are integrated over, is it safe to assume that those that are moderators will remain moderators and the moderators forum will remain hidden from general users?

Yup they all will remain - those are all in your database and your database remains on an upgrade.
