May SMF do what PHPBB don't? Question about functionalities

LARdT

I had a free forum with PHPBB and decided to get my own.
I've got my paid hosting, installed PHPBB 3.0.8 and I discover that all the functionalities I had on the free forum
are extremely difficult to implement or almmost impossible without a professional PHP skill level.

I am considering to try SMF instead but I would like to know if:

Installing in Spanish:
- Will I be able to publish posts in HTML? HTML is "forbidden" in PHP 3.0.8 and you have to "hack" it.
- Is it possible (with a MOD easy to install) to hide certain post elements (links, images) to users depending on their groups and managing it from the Admin Panel?
   Not just for "guests" but for any other group I could define.

Thanks

@LARdT   theres a spanish support board:  http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=16.0

html is off because of security issues,  you, as an admin, can use the

tags.

LainaaIs it possible (with a MOD easy to install) to hide certain post elements (links, images) to users depending on their groups and managing it from the Admin Panel?

there are some mods that dos that,  one is:  http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=118

assuming you mean hiding things in the post.
Oh, wouldn't it be great if I *was* crazy? ...then the world would be okay

Welcome to SMF.

Sure there are hundreds of mods on the Mod Site.  Feel free to take a look.
