Hi dudes, i been using SMF in a free host without any problem at all, and now i change the host to another company (i was in a free one, so slow, and i move to a payment host where all is more fast and "better"). I start the installation and on the 3rd pass, where connect to ftp for make the data base, it shows me an error. It tells me the password is wrong (when is not wrong) and don't let me pass. When i try to repeat the process it becomes "500 Internal Server Error" and i can't do nothing more. Even when i try to delete the folders on the ftp don't let me do it.

Can someone help me?

Welcome to SMF.

If you can't log in to your FTP account with the credentials you are using, you should contact your host.  Make sure you read the information linked in my signature on installing SMF.

Yeah actually i was using SMF for the same project on a Free Host and working perfectly. I just change to a new one (it have the requirements for work with SMF too) but it seems like not working. Even, as difference from the first host i was working (the free one) it skips me from the first to the third step (it don't even go to the writteable check) what makes me think that the files have the correctly CHMOD.

Here i link you some of images for you can understand the problem.

• This is the info about my hosting (without password - The password is the same i use for enter on the cpanel so it should have no prob with it). Is in spanish but i think is easy to understand what it says xD

• This is how i put the info on the installer

• And this is the "disastah" xD

The username and password that is asked for is the MySQL user and password, not your control panel user and password.  If you created the database from your host control panel, you should be able to create a database user and password and then give it all privileges as well.
