Upgrading SMF 1.1.11 to 1.1.12

I have a small question, do I need to uninstall all mods before upgrading?

if you are using the package manager upgrade, no you do not have to.

There is a link on Siteground site where I upgrade it, don't I need to uninstall the mods in that case?

i would just use the link in the package manager, it should be easier and this method is supported by smf.

Actually I wanted to upgrade to the version 2.0 but got some error so don't really know if it is possible to do.

To go from 1.x to 2.0 just use the large upgrade package. Follow the instructions linked in my signature.

you dont need to upgrade to 1.1.12 first you can upgrade directly to 2.0 RC4

I would prefer to wait when it becomes a gold version because I got problems upgrading it earlier on the test forum.

If that method doesn't work, for some reason, get this:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/downloads/smf_patch_1.0.20_1.1.12.tar.gz

Upload it to your Packages directory, then go to Package Manager to apply it.

Whatever you do, BACKUP EVERYTHING before you even start.
