Install problems with timezone on Mac OS-X

I'm trying to install SMF on a Mac running OS 10.6.6, PHP 5.3.3, and MySQL 5.5.

I've verified that both PHP and MySQL are installed and running fine, and I'm trying to run the /install.php script, but encounter the error shown in the attached screen shot.

I tried digging through these forums and Googling, but did not find any resolution or guidance.

How do I resolve this?

Unfortunately no. I essentially just gave up trying to install it.

ok why dont we go over it once more ?

delete everything and reupload the RC4 install package.
