RC3 update to RC4

Launched the update from RC3 to RC4. In the past, I have been able to just run the small update from the folder on the FTP server. With the update to RC4, this failed, and I went ahead with what I have done in the past with PHPbb3, download the settings and other critical files, upload the new and overwrite the old files, upload the settings files and then everything is fine.

So, with this new update, there are a few problems that I'm trying to resolve:

database upgrading, running the upgrade.php and logging in triggers an error as seen in the attachment. As it stands, my board is functional, but there are a few things like when a user reports a post, I'm unable to see who sent it, because the database isn't right.

board url: hvfox(dot)net
Host: 1&1
SQl database

Your upgrade page looks weird...

Try reuploading ALL update files.

Everything is current, when I have run into these problems in the past with phpbb, I downloaded the complete install, wipe the server folder, upload everything, and overwrite the (config.php with phpbb) settings.php file that I snagged from the server.

Illori

are you uploading all files in the large upgrade package? you dont need the full install downloaded/uploaded to your site, just use the large upgrade package.

NightmareAngel

I did both the small upgrade which failed, then the large, which failed. They all failed in the same area as seen with the attachment.

Illori

have you tried more then one browser?

I could try it in Internetexploder. I'll report back in a sec with an edit.

Edit: It errors in the same place

No, the problem remains, nothing has changed.

I see your forum login page is reporting 2.0 RC4.  Have you made some progress or did the forum finally update?  When you restart the upgrade, does it always error in the same spot?  Can you check the database tables in phpMyAdmin to make sure there isn't a problem with those?  You normally do that by selecting all the tables in your database and then scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting Check Tables from the dropdown.

It fails in the same spot. When it says that it is going to change the tables step 1. It hangs there and returns the error as seen in the picture.

Try disabling javascript and then try the upgrade again.
