Forum and huge ban log - SLOW?

Just wondering. Will the forum (1.1.11) get slow if you have a huge ban log? in thinking about banning all the spammers etc with ip, email and username instead of just deleting their accounts

It will get slower, yes, since every request is looked up in the ban log later.
