i have install smf 1.1.12 withe new database
and download convert form http://download.simplemachines.org/index.php?thanks;filename=smf_1-1-12_vbulletin_converter.zip

I have this problem when i specify a password.
I think I've identified the correct password.
How do I fix this?.

Please keep it into the support topic of the converter.

And it seems you didn't have a database name specified.
