Yes, can you link to any active examples of this mod in use please?

!RFAN

okay i installed the mod but i cant see any settings in admin cp??

eyo

I would prefer this over a portal tbh, would be good to see this in action

Very nice Labradoodle-360!
In a new version could you add support or selection for html/php? I would like to use some ssi functionality in this easily made home page!
Anyway its a nice option to have because the fate of portal mods is to become more and more complex.

I think a lot of us would prefer this over a portal... Very light weight!  Great Job!

Yep! :) It was actually finished for a while, but lacked a couple of things. So I just decided to get to it and get er done.

This isn't a portal, although it provides a fully customizable home page. I will add screenshots later today.

HTML is enabled through the BBC-Editor; just use the

tags. PHP support may be added later on if it's requested enough. But with some upcoming mods I am writing, smaller mods I will only update by request.

I tried that but i can only use  just basic html.
Lets hope more people request php support!

Also i noticed that the mod doesn't like the WYSIWYG editor. I cant save if that is ON. (or maybe the editor doesnt like this mod  :) :-\ )

Matthew K.

What HTML are you wanting to add, out of curiosity? In addition, I would be interested to see a customizer's opinion regarding WYSIWYG and the mod...

I want to make a first page, with links to selected topics in the forum, tutorials etc. It is mostly static but could have some ssi functions in it.
Portal mods are either too complex, or simple but restrictive.
In other words, i dont want any restrictions in html use, but the ones mostly used would be div, h1, h2, h3, p, li, a, script and of course the ability to use styles, either from the theme, either within html.
I can do lists and other stuff with BBC but i cant have styles with it.

eyo

a few examples or screenshots would be great. portals just confuse most users with uncessary stuff that's already outdated in today's internet sites and just want something quick and easy to use.

Matthew K.

Screenshots are attached...on the mods page. And there is a fairly detailed description in the readme.

i found the custom action mod that does exactly what i need.

Matthew K.

I may eventually update this mod to allow PHP/HTML.
