Well, we upgraded from 1.1.11 to smf2 RC4 ... but the forum lost about 13,000 posts, and about 200 members :(

I posted these stats a week ago, http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=226953.msg2925922#msg2925922

Is this normal, and is there anyway to get that back.

there were no errors during the upgrade, everything seemed to go smoothly.

Run a recount from Maintenance board? Did you notice anything in particular going missing?

Did you change the postcount of members previously? It might have done a reset for them.

Yes, I ran a recount, and said it was successful but nothing changed.  I Haven't changed any members post counts at all.

Only thing i can think of, is we do have a recycle board, and it has 14,000+ posts, but they're all still there on the forum.  But still doesn't explain the missing members, and why those posts dont show in the forum stats.

Our topic count seems correct, but posts and members took a beating lol

That explains the postcount being lost but still doesn't explain the member loss.

Try this:
- Export smf_members table of both 1.1.x and 2.x
- Compare them both and see if any ID's have gone missing. (Notepad++ has a compare plugin within itself which can help.)

OK!  I unchecked the recycled board option, and did another recount, and they're back in the statistics now :)

I'll look into the members thing.

right now I'm going hog wild getting all the mods and customizations back up :D

Thanx FLAMER.  I'll check back soon with an update.

Is this issue solved or do you still require assistance?

Still needing a solution on the members number that was reduced.  Unless upgrading doens't count banned members, but we don't have 200+ banned members on the site.

JimM

It should count banned members along with all the rest.

Were you able to compare the member tables as FLAMER suggested in order to maybe see if there is something consistent with the members that were deleted?
