the red shoutbox isn't rendering right in IE. It renders, but sometimes only half of the background shows. Anyone know how to fix this?

nokonium

Yes, get a decent browser  ;)

sadly i can't tell my users that.

i use firefox and sometimes opera, but i have to make sure it renders in IE too. :D

nokonium

Sheesh! That is weird, scroll down and back up and each time the red background renders slightly different.

i know, it's driving me crazy! haha

I'll admit, I've never seen this before.  If I view the source, and close the window... it doesn't redraw the background for the li's and h3!

That said...

hahah, i'm embarassed at the validation, i knew it wouldn't validate, it was created in about an hour and i wasn't going to clean it until i started skinning it into my smf skin. but maybe that is the problem.

Well, looking at the errors they don't look that bad - and most of them are ones IE should accept.  No need to be embarrassed.

But, if those are all fixed and it still does it, I cna try again to figure out the problem.

It looks fine for me in IE6. ???

Wait, I see the problem. The red background dissapears when I resize the browser. Can't see why it's doing it though.

well, i've fixed the errors, was missing a couple closing tags. Still no fix, perhaps i'll use a table here, for the shoutbox, for some extra formatting options. blah
