You are going to need to supply a little more information than that. Like what exactly happened? Can you see the forum software when looking at your site from your hosting panel? Is the database still there? If the database is still there it shouldn't be a problem. Also your host might have backups. Have you talked to them?

You have a phpBB forum installed at the link that you provided. Not much we can do about that since we are SMF and not phpBB.

I think the OP has installed phpBB after they "lost" SMF.

Someone should probably take his phone number out of there.

Sorry about the phone number BigGuy just in a bind. Now I guess I'll have to start over with the forum and you guys have been very helpful. Will go now and see if I can re-install a new simple machine and hope that there is backup on their end with the original database and content. Yesterday I installed the phpBB trying to fix the problem. Wrong move. Any advice on where to go for the content of my SMF. Got a backup from last week on my hard drive. Thanks for your support.

Unless you made a backup yourself there is no way to restore.

the people that run this website have nothing to do with the hosting or running of the forum software that can be downloaded from this site. I am not sure what you wish for can be provided by smf or the staff of smf. you might have better luck contacting your host.

If you are just worried about the content then you need the MySQL database and your host should be able to help you with that. If you had modified your site with mods you will need to re-install them and providing you have recovered your database the settings will still be intact I believe. You will need to re-install any themes that you were using. If you had done any custom coding to the SMF core files you will need to do these again.

Also you shouldn't make new posts when you could have added this to your existing thread.

Welcome to SMF, LookBook.

Is this issue solved or do you still require assistance?
