Does anybody know the version of SMF, the 2.0 branch has a whole different license. Copyright rules are not the same like they used to be when this thread was created.

It's pre 2.0 final - all versions up until 2.0 final had that code in and *only* 2.0 final and later is without the licence restriction, so whatever, it's in breach of licence.
