I don't understand the bug report.   is show instead of a space? I don't see that on the search here or any other forum I've looked at. What search method? What version? Any mods installed that could be doing this?

OH! I see what you're talking about now. See, that makes a lot more sense.

Seems to me the only way to fix this is to fudge what the search searches for, on account of the fact that the non-breaking space occurs in many many places; it's one of the things preparsecode codes to normalise incoming and preserve double spaces.

I think the report is about not un-escaping those entities.

The search is matching them because that's what's physically there. You'd have to de-entitify them before searching...
