Previous topic - Next topic

HI all

been gone a while ( ie have been very happy with my Church Forum - all is perfect)
Situation:
many of my Boards are calendar based (eg to post our weekly new bulletin)
and each new topic is listed on top
but sometimes I get a request to add an new announcement (eg for a mid week event)
how can I manually re-arrange the topics? (so I can put it in the correct order?)
( without having to delete, add, and re-add topics?)

thanks

You can make the topic sticky,in that way it will be on the top or you can try to change the startdate of the topic via database table

For finding the correct time you can use this converter

Changing the start date won't do anything; topics are ordered by the id of the last post, by default, in SMF, not by time/date of posting.

Using a sticky topic will push it to the top of the listing though.

thanks for answers, but - not what I was looking for
eg
I make a new post every other day (perhaps the odd days)
and they appear in order (ref post date)
1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 (etc) date of a month
then a week later, I want to add a post for an 'even date (eg the 6th)??
how can I stick the NEW post INTO the mix so it appears  as the 4th post
NOT on top, as is a sticky

thanks
