Installed a new theme and it took over the board ... now I have no forum

I just spent 3 days working on a new site and had it all done.  I added a couple of themes, including Mr Brown, and in loading that one in, it took over and I have no forum.

Please advise, I am exhausted from no sleep and admittedly need good help to get back in there and remove that theme.

Hi, you might of added a theme which is not compatible with your version of SMF.

Try adding ?theme=1 to the url to your forums. That should force the default theme to load.

I need help.  I installed Mr Brown theme, opened it and installed it and the next thing I knew, I have no forum left, its completely gone.

Help me remove the theme and get back to where I was an hour and a half a go...done and ready to go home.  (sigh)

ETA: That theme is only for SMF 2.0. I bet you are running SMF 1.1.x.

go to index.php?theme=1

for example http://www.myforum.com/forum/index.php?theme=1

then go to admin panel and reset everyone to default

Now that I have eaten and rested a bit...where will I find the knowledge and data to switch to the 2.x that runs the other 2.0 templates, or should I even bother?

The SM prg is one that I got off the cpanel with Blue Host, and I am guessing it might be an older format then?

you are running the stable release, 2.0 is still in development, if you want to use SMF 2.0 then go to download page and download the large upgrade file, extract that to a folder on your cimputer then use an ftp client to upload and replace all your exisiting files of your forum overwriting the old ones, then you go upgrade.php ad run the upgrade.
