Upgrading from 1.13 to smf version 2

Hi, i want to upgrade because ref system mod dosent work properly on my custo theme blinj forum, i can see usernames of members refs, i can just see total no, thats it. Im paying members for their active refs, if i cant see their refs how i know they r active or not? Need help, if i upgrade to smf 2, will it work on any custom theme?

I am not familiar with that mod, but the issue is likely that there are some template changes that need to be made for this to work properly.

In 2.0, SMF will attempt to apply any template/theme changes to your custom theme as well, but there's no guarantee that the edits will work (as the code for your custom theme might be different than the code for the default theme).

Also note that if you do upgrade, your custom theme will have to be rewritten, as there are numerous differences between the templates in 1.1 and those in 2.0.
