1.1.13 to Rc5 help please

i am currently using 1.1.13 and want to change to Rc5 but i have no idea how to do this

absolutely any help or assistance would realy be apreciated

cheers but when i do the download package from my laptop i get this error

The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

any ideas???

Do i need to do any changes from 1.1.13 to 2.0 before so the upgrade mod will work?

you do not use that file with the package manager please read the instructions for upgrading again.

bretttina, were you able to complete the upgrade?  Upgrading to 2.0 RC5 requires you to unzip the package to something like your desktop.  I normally create a folder and unzip the entire contents to that folder.  Once you do that, use your favorite FTP client to upload the entire contents of the folder to your webspace, overwriting your existing files.  Once that is complete, you use your browser to start the upgrade by adding /upgrade.php to the end of your forum URL.

Of course before you do anything, backup your forum files and database!
