Problem In Changing The Welcome Email

I am using SMF 2.0

I want to change the welcome email, which is sent when users register on my forum..

i edited EmailTemplate.englich.php in themes/default/languages folder.....

i want to add 2 more lines....

i edited and added 2 more lines...
but the email is not changed ... same email is sent to my users as it is sent always...

Admin > Maintenance > Routine > Empty the file cache

And is there an EmailTemplates.english-utf8.php file? If so, modify that too.

So you've then signed up a new account as if you were a regular user, right?

Well, you seem to have edited the right message, and you seem to have edited the right file, and cleared the cache.

You *are* using English on the forum?

yes the forum is on pure english.....


if this is not possible , is there any mod which sends automatic email to the users when they register.......

i need it urgently... please help me......

It seems to me you've editted the wrong mail.
For a regular registration (So, not an Admin registration) search for the next mail:

Did you also clear the forumcache after the last edit ?
