Hi guys, I have a biig problem here.. As I want a forum for my RuneScape Private Server.. But however when installing SMF, unrared it.. Placed it into my "Appserv -> www" folder named SMF. Then I go to my site (pvp-revolution.no-ip.org/smf) It begins the setup thing.. I writed all information etc.. Then when clicking next at step 2 and its about to go on step 3 it says "Oops! Google Chrome could not find this site".. Any help please?

Hi,

does it work in another browser?

Tried with regular Microsoft Internet Explorer, didn't work.. Any other ideas?

Illori

what is the url at that time when you get the error?

[edit] when i go to pvp-revolution.no-ip.org/smf there is no index.php page, this may be part of the issue.

no not when hosting on no-ip what?
I am hosting thought No-ip.. (No-Ip.com)
same as when hosting through ur own ip with Xampp or something
I'm using Appserv..
No-Ip is just to hide your IP so instead of going to (eg. 88.13.161.123, you go to hxxp:yourlikednamehere.no-ip.org [nonactive])

yes i know that much, but you should ALWAYS have an index page load for your forum/site if it is in place if not then your server is missconfigured. it is a bit of a security risk to have files show instead of the index page.

Doesnt matter if u have index.php or not.. Well I have but i just didnt tell the link.. Let me tell u the link when i set this **** up.. :D

hxxp:localhost/smf/install.php [nonactive]
thats the setup
But it will automaticly redirect u to index.php if this would work...

hxxp:localhost/smf/install.php?step=2 [nonactive]
thats step 2 right before it stucks

hxxp:localhost/smf/install.php?step=3 [nonactive]
Thats the page link when its stuck says

Denne webside er ikke tilgængelig
Websiden på hxxp:localhost/smf/install.php?step=3 [nonactive]

can temporarily be down, or else its permanently moved to another page.
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): unknown error.

@The Truth: Please open a new topic in the relevant support board with more details, your question is rather vague.

Any update on this?  Do you have any other applications set-up and running on this server?
