how do i edit smf-installed in the news reader.

go to admin / main / News and Newsletters   :)

follow the steps above and below :)

1. go to admin control panel
2. then hover over main and in thr dropdown meny select news and newsletters
3. click the checkbox next to "SMF just installed!" and press remove slected
4. in the News box type what news you need
5. press save
6. they fade in and out if you add more news

They don't, unless you are on the board index (& have that feature enabled).

@Yoshi2889 thanks for pointing that out otherwise i would have forgotten to mention it and he would start another thread and it would be my fault. i must have enabled mine ages ago and forgot all about it when i types that :)
