Hi pips, how can I set up newsletter not to display the forum email e.g [email protected]. Reason is that when I send important news to members email, majority of them send me replies which honestly I don't want them to. Thanks.

kat

If they get the newsletters via e-mail, they'll just hit "Reply".

So, they don't need to SEE the address, coz it'll appear in the "From" box, anyway.

Why not send the newletters as PMs?

Arantor

Yeah, but it would be nice to be able to force it to be 'no-reply' so when it bounces...

There's no good way to do it without a number of slightly ugly code hacks though.

Because most of the members are no longer active and coming so I needed to remind them via their email.

admin -> server settings and i really hope you are not going to use [email protected] that sounds very fishy.

Except that there's two problems with that.

Firstly, that address is used for certain notifications from the forum, like serious errors, and secondly if the sender's email domain is not the site's domain, some hosts won't send it anyway.
