Guys

I'm trying to upgrade from 1.1.11 to 1.1.13 and get the following:-

'The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.'

Any assistance gratefully received.

From the download page:

Large upgrade
    Using modifications, or not using SMF 1.1.12? No problem, this is what you need.

You don't upgrade from 1.1.11 to 1.1.13 via Package Manager.

you can use the links in your package manager to upgrade, but you need to install the patch for 1.1.12 first then 1.1.13 after. this way you dont need to reinstall your themes or mods.

if you look in your admin panel there will be a link provided, it is also shown in the package manager when you are not using the most updated version. just click the link and it will download the new package manager update you need to install. then repeat for the update to 1.1.13

Actually, if you download this:

you don't need to go to 1.1.12, first.

If you look in the archive, there's a ReadMe, which gives you all the guff.

The BIG advantage of doing it using the patch route, though, is that you're less likely to screw your mods.

So, you'd need to get this:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/downloads/smf_patch_1.0.20_1.1.12.tar.gz

and install it using Package Manager.

Then, you need this:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/downloads/smf_patch_1.0.21_1.1.13.tar.gz

and, again, install it using Package Manager.
