Upgraded from RC 1.2 to RC 5 help !

my question is how you upgraded from rc 1.2 to rc 5 - i've been racking my brains out, searching the SMF 2 boards up and down and still have the same questions marks over my head.

SlammedDime's easy guide to upgrading RC releases...

Delete ALL files/folders EXCEPT for attachments, Packages, Settings.php and Settings_bak.php
Grab a copy of the 2.0 RC5 Large Upgrade pack.
Upload all files from the upgrade pack to your site.
Navigate to upgrade.php and follow the prompts (http://mysite.com/upgrade.php)

Easy as that.  The upgrader will try to auto install your mods.  Any that fail, either because of failed edits, or invalid versions, you will have to see if that mod has been updated for RC5.  If not, you can't use it.

First point... take a full backup of both the database and files before you being...
Second point... note all mods that you currently have and research them before you begin to see if they are all updated for RC5 so you know what you'll have to reinstall.
