why is this happening?

Because the quote styling code forces the text to be smaller. This is by design, it's not a bug.

I think that his problem is that in the quoted text the size tag is not parsed at all.

I just tested it on a clean RC5 and it works as expected for me.

What type of size tag did you use? (There are three different kinds...)

The OP is running 2.0 RC3, this behaviour was changed sometime around 2.0 RC4.

so are you telling me that if I upgrade to RC4 or RC5 there will be no problem?forgot to tell you that this problem dont occures every time we quote in the forum but sometimes
