How do i remove header in blackrain v3........version 1.1.13

I am designing my own website with limited I.T experience and have added a forum using the blackrain v3 theme by crip.I want to remove the header at the top of page where the logo blackrain is located how do i remove it please?........

can you give us a link to your forum? it may help someone to determine what needs to be removed. can you attach a screenshot of the exact area you want deleted? i am going to move this to the graphics and templates board so you can get better help.

 my forum address is http://www.free-bets-uk.orgyou cannot miss the Blackrain logo in the header at the top of the page.I want to remove ALL the header with the Blackrain logo in it.I have been trying to remove it for 3 days lol......and i am pulling my hair out and about to give in!

also i would recommend you use a smaller fixed width as not everyone has their browser window as wide as 1290px.

I have gone to EDIT THEME-INDEX.TEMPLATE.PHP.........but i cannot find that code you supplied anywhere on the page?..........i have got 7 boxes of code to choose from on the index.template.php page titled BEGINNING LINE 1,29,59,358,467,496,577...........But i cannot find the code you supplied anywhere in the 7 boxes?...........i am really frustrated and feeling like i want to top myself(with some hundreds and thousands lol)

i would suggest you use ftp and download the file to your pc so you have a backup then do the changes. make sure you are looking at the file for your theme.

garylester777,please consider.In this case you permanently lose the header.
Good solution is: Remove blackrain logo.If you, later, want to put your logo just insert new (same size,name and extension) in the same folder.
Your path:Themes/blackrainV3_12/images and find logo.png (logo BlackRain V3) and remove it.

then you will fill your error log with errors that this file can not be found, that would not be the best idea.

But if he just removes the logo image then it may show the dreaded white square with the red X in some browsers.

Hi......i have managed to locate the code supplied by the 2 members and i have tried removing the code EXACTLY as the 2 members said but on each occasion after i SAVE the changes i get a message saying TEMPLATE PARSE ERROR.............What does that mean?.......am i supposed to write something in the code after deleting the lines code supplied by the members?.........i am very confused!

this is why i suggested you take a backup first, which i hope you did. you should restore the old version back and wait for further suggestions.

As long as i can remove the header i will be really pleased.

you dont need to reinstall your whole forum to fix this. you would just need to reset your theme to default with ?theme=1 added to your url, remove your theme completely using the admin panel then reinstall it from the zip. then please attach the file ARG wants to your next post before you do any further work.
