Two forums, same Mambo site

I have been working with the MOS_SMF bridge for Mambo but the Mambo admin problems are just too much. Orstio has been a great help with the Bridge and SMF but I think it is time for a new tack.
Before going to the bridge I messed with using  a wrapper with SMF. This works well and will work with two separate forums, I think)). I chose the bridge method for ease of user management and ease of use for the user.
My Question: Is there an elegant way to have users first register in Forum 1 and automatically be registered in forum 2? Forum 2 would have a different approval process.
