Getting noticed ,site submission

Any tips tricks , things I need to do to get my forums "noticed" do I simply submit it like I would my website for example ? Is the fact that the url starts with a "www.forum.da da a hinderance ? should it be renamed (I own a lot of domains)  Thanks in advance  Tom
