Template Documentation?

Lots and Lots and Lots of information on this site, but after searching I could find no template guidline documentation.  Does such an animal exist? 

I can see many fine examples to pull from but there must be some sort of documentation and CSS details somewhere?

Could anyone assist?

Do you mean information on theme making?  Or maybe you meant something like the code broken down to its bare basics?  Hmm, that just may be a plan...

Dan, I've written a few myself and I'm thinking of doing just that.  If you would like, maybe we could team up and write some real nice documentation for SMF that would help novice developers build themes and templates and assorted layouts.   

I already have a tool on my system I built a month ago that works pretty good, but its far from easily packaging up for just anyone if they don't have a clue how to use it.  I'd like to make my template maker available.

Sure, I can do that.  Just so you know, I will likely have several source files with it as well.  I remember how difficult templating can be for some people so I'll include a few tools to assist.

So I don't leave anything out... Do you know of any lists or details or outlines for the types of "Module or Components" used by SMF.  What I mean is a detail list of modules like "shout box" "news box" "key stats" etc....

Its been several months but I think that it may be wise to also build this for users of HTML-Kit. 

Maybe people would be willing to share what applications they use for web design.  I'm a long time Dreamweaver and Photoshop user but I've been told that HTML-Kit is quite popular.

Would SMF snippet tools be beneficial for other products? If so which ones.
