Upgrade question and security

When you're about to upgrade the board, you must run upgrade.php or a similar file that you've uploaded to your server. When you put your board into maintenance mode during upgrade, can other people access that file? Like if someone understands that you're doing an upgrade, and writes http://yoursite.com/board/upgrade.php [nofollow], could he mess up your upgrade or board?

Just make sure that you delete the Upgrade.php after you get through upgrading .... at the end of the upgrade, there will be an option to delete the upgrade.php file......
